Are you interested in changing your career, entering the IT field, or furthering your skillsets? Training Concepts can help you achieve your professional goals. Check out the steps below to get started!
1. Contact
Use our contact page to let us know that you are interested in learning about what we offer. We will ask you a few questions to prequalify you, then we will schedule a consultation.
2. Consult
An Admissions Manager will meet with you to learn about your career goals. We will discuss how we can help you achieve the next level of your professional growth and ask questions regarding your previous employment, education history, and active duty/veteran status. Based on your answers to these questions, you may qualify to receive partial or full tuition coverage from one of our partners. Finally, we will explore the courses and programs Training Concepts has to offer for credentialing and job placement assistance.
3. Register
Now that we have identified the best path for you, we will discuss your schedule availability. Training Concepts offers a wide variety of course times and dates to accommodate any learner’s schedule. You may choose to attend during our morning (8:30am – 1:00pm EST) sessions or afternoon (1:00pm – 5:30pm EST) sessions. We also offer night (6:00pm – 10:00pm EST) sessions if you are unavailable during daytime hours. You are the lead in deciding which schedule works best for you and will allow you to fully commit and focus on achieving your goals.
4. Begin
You’ve completed the above steps. All that’s left is to start! As you go through your course(s)/program, you will be fully supported along the way. A member of the Training Concepts team is always available to answer any questions you may have or resolve any issues you are facing. Aside from our industry-certified instructors who are available inside and outside the classroom, we include a qualified teaching assistant in every class to add an extra layer of support. You will also be provided with the contact information of our Operations staff should you need further assistance.
5. Utilize
As a Training Concepts student, you will have access to numerous resources put into place to help you succeed. Utilize these resources during and after your program. You will be introduced to these resources during your consultation and encouraged by our staff throughout your course(s)/program to use the appropriate ones. Examples of these resources include course/content specific study groups, certification specific study groups, supplemental practice testing material to aid in your preparation for certification, office hours with our instructors or teaching assistants, alumni perks to re-sit any class you have previously attended, etc.
6. Certify
Upon completing each course, we highly recommend you prepare for its industry-standardized certification. Our courses and programs are designed to give students time to study and, many times, complete the related certification between each class. Again, this is the perfect opportunity to utilize the resources mentioned above. Training Concepts offers a few options for you to take your certifications. Many of the certifications can be taken at our Columbia, SC Training Concepts location. If you are not local or prefer an alternative, you may also test from home or at an authorized testing center. When you are ready to test, our Operations team will help you determine your options and schedule your exam.
- If testing from other locations, don’t forget to share the great news with us as you pass your certifications. We use this information to qualify you for open positions in the field, and we also love to give our students a celebratory shout out on our socials!
7. Apply
After you have completed your course(s)/program, we shift our focus to helping you achieve your employment goals. We have resources to aid in this process, as well. We host workshops on improving your resume, interview skills, how to create your own IT brand, etc. A member of our team will help you cater your resume to the specific job or title you are looking to hold. We highly recommend you take advantage of these opportunities. Along with these workshops, our student success team will help you in your job search. We advocate for, endorse, and offer incentives to employers that hire our students.
