Greetings! Thanks for taking the time to read over this brief instructional guide for taking your “Google IT Support Professional Certification” course at Training Concepts. In this blog post, we’ll go over how the program works, what you’ll receive from completing it, and how to request your reimbursement.
First Things First – What is Google IT?
The Google IT Support Professional course is designed to result in a unique IT Certification through Google. This course is a subscription-based training program that allows you to take the class at your own pace. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of IT, and you will be equipped with the necessary skills for an entry-level IT job. In Google’s words:
About this Professional Certificate
In this 5-course certificate program, you’ll prepare for an entry-level job in IT support through an innovative curriculum developed by Google. 80% of Google IT Support Professional Certificate learners in the U.S. report a career impact within 6 months, such as finding a new job, getting a raise, or starting a new business. The program is part of Grow with Google, a Google initiative to help create economic opportunities for all.
Upon completion of the certificate, learners eligible to work in the US can directly share their information with Google, as well as employers like Hulu, Infosys, Intel, Walmart, and more.
This program also prepares you for the CompTIA A+ exams, the industry standard certification for IT— you’ll earn a dual credential when you complete both. Through a mix of video lectures, quizzes, and hands-on labs, you’ll get introduced to troubleshooting, customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security — foundational IT skills required for an entry-level role. You’ll hear from Googlers whose foundations in IT support, served as launchpads for their own careers. By dedicating ~5 hours a week, you can complete in 3-6 months.
This program is ACE® certified—when you complete, you can earn up to 12 college credits, the equivalent of 4 associate degree-level courses.
If your career program includes the Google IT Support Technician course through Coursera then you will be eligible for full reimbursement of your course subscription fees as we further discuss below. We include this self-paced course in some of our career programs as a starting point for you to begin learning the fundamentals of IT right after your registration is complete, as your first live class date on your registration may vary. Additionally, your registration likely includes CompTIA A+. Together with Google IT, you will receive the dual credential mentioned above.
The Google IT Support Professional Certificate + CompTIA A+ Badge is a unique badge that will appear on your LinkedIn profile and help you stand out to potential employers. Only by taking and certifying with both courses can you get access to this Badge.

Training Concepts Reimbursement Policy
Once you have enrolled in the course, there will be a $49 fee each month for access to the training material. Your account is independently verified with your identity and you must submit a payment source in your name to pay for your service. Training Concepts is unable to set up an account in your name, therefore, your funding will be provided in the form of reimbursement. It is important for you to obtain copies of your digital receipts as your account is charged each month because you will need to submit these for reimbursement. Training Concepts will issue one reimbursement for the total of your expenses upon completion of your certification or after you have reached four months with an active subscription – whichever comes first. Any fees charged after your initial four months with an active subscription will not be reimbursed by Training Concepts. There is no time requirement for the completion of the course, however students are incentivized to finish sooner due to the subscription model. Based on the success of our past students, achieving your certificate in four months or less is attainable.
To submit your request for reimbursement, please email a copy of your certification along with digital receipts and your preferred mailing address. You may also reach out after four months have elapsed without earning the certification by submitting your receipts and mailing address. Your reimbursement check will be mailed within 7-10 business days of your reimbursement request.
